WHAT IS DYNAMIC REFORMER PILATES AND HOW DOES IT DIFFER FROM TRADITIONAL PILATES?

Reformer Pilates is a dynamic workout with a combination of traditional pilates, focusing on core, waist and back, integrated with weighted circuit training performed on a reformer.

A reformer is a spring controlled pilates apparatus which has been customised for the Pure Class workout. This allows you to target and train specific muscle groups and the whole body effectively while still focusing on core control and strength.

I HAVE NEVER DONE REFORMER PILATES BEFORE, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

That’s fine, the majority of individuals are ok to attend our classes as we structure them in a safe way.

If you suffer any chronic injuries, are pregnant or just want to go into class more confident, a 1 on 1 introductory session is recommended. This will allow you to know and understand any modifications that are needed.

HOW MANY IN A CLASS?

There is a maximum class capacity of 10 individuals.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW FOR MY FIRST CLASS?

Arrive at least 10 minutes early to fill out a health screen, to get to know the studio and meet the trainer.

Wear comfortable fitted exercise clothing. eg. Tights, singlet, shorts or t-shirt, barefoot or socks – whichever you find most comfortable.

We provide complimentary water, towels and changing rooms.

No phones during class; please respect others and switch your phone to silent.

We always leave you in great hands.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DO PURE CLASS PILATES?

That is up to you; it will depend on fitness levels, goals and exercise outside of Pure Class.

We recommend 2 to 3 times per week.

DO I NEED TO BE FIT TO DO PURE CLASS PILATES?

No. An exercise history is good, however we do structure our classes to cater to all fitness levels so you can be confident there will be an option for you. If you are concerned, you can always book in a one-on-one session before you begin attending classes to ensure you are ready.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN INJURY?

We are able to give option to participants with injuries; however this is dependent upon the injury. If you are injured, you must always discuss this with your trainer prior to class.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

Minimum 16 years old
